SPIRITUAL AUTHORITY COHORTS

Why?

To encourage, empower, and bless men and women to begin experiencing their spiritual inheritance and spiritual authority in their homes, workplace, neighborhoods, and beyond.

What?

An 8-month experiential learning lab meant to create a safe community in which to discover our identity as sons and daughters of the King and, through specific prayer tools, experiment with the spiritual authority that comes with that identity.

Note: For Coed Cohorts, everyone will meet together for the teaching time, then we will split into men's and women's groups for the “lab” times, which means that the ministry time of sharing and praying for one another will be in small groups of same gender.

We’ll cover these topics over the course of our time together:

  • Spiritual Inheritance

  • What is Spiritual Authority?

  • Hearing God as the Basis for Spiritual Authority

  • Inner Healing as a Key Component to Exercising Spiritual Authority

  • Spiritual Authority vs. Spiritual Gifts and the Impartation of Gifts

  • Physical Healing and the In-breaking of the Kingdom

  • The Priesthood of Believers

  • Reclaiming Territory and the Reality of the Supernatural

  • Spiritual Conversations and Persons of Peace

Commitment

Attendance: Attendance is expected at each monthly meeting. We know life is full, but the expectation is that you carve out space in your life and calendar to invest in this cohort for all 8 months. Please check the meeting dates for your location (below) against your calendar prior to registering.

Cost: Part of Novo’s calling is to equip and mobilize the body of Christ around the world. Novo will cover the costs of your notebook, selected readings, and the cost of Facilitator travel. Participants will receive a cohort syllabus and will be responsible to purchase the 5 books we read sections of throughout the cohort. The total cost of the books is roughly $70.

  1. “I Give You Authority: Practicing the Authority Jesus Gave Us” by Charles Kraft

  2. “Listening and Inner Healing Prayer: Meeting God in the Broken Places” by Rusty Rustenbach

  3. “Moving Mountains: Praying with Passion, Confidence, and Authority” by John Eldredge

  4. “The Life Jesus Made Possible: Embracing the Kingdom Within our Reach” by Bill Randall

  5. “The Grace Outpouring: Becoming a People of Blessing” by Roy Godwin and Dave Roberts

Reading: Reading will be assigned to help you prepare for each gathering. You are committing to read between 2 and 4 hours each month and come prepared to share your reflections on the reading in small groups.

Experimenting: The power of this cohort is that it is experiential and discovery-based. There will be a short time of teaching followed by time to experiment together with a specific prayer tool during the meeting, AND you will experiment on your own throughout the month. You can expect to spend approximately 2 hours experimenting each month outside of the meeting time.
